Mojo Monday #238

My interpretation of this week's Mojo Monday Challenge ... again on the masculine side. The background paper is from Making Memories (and was sent to me by friend Cathy Bowman-Russell), the solid color papers are all from Bazzill Basics, the text is from Stampendous (I colored it brown with markers)  and the incredible 3D tag embellishment is from Jolee's Boutique/E.K. Success.

Goodbye to a good friend!

I'm not posting a card today, just a sad good bye to very special friend: Max(ine). Today is the day she rejoins her sister Sam(antha) after what I hope was a very happy life. To everygood thing an end must come, leaving behind sweet memories!

Monochromatic DieCutting

I was playing around with my Spellbinder dies and came up with another medallion card but this turned out to be a monochromatic one.

The papers are all from Bazzill Bsics and use two shades of ivory: a light and a dark ivory. The die-cut used is the Fleur-de-Lis Squares (I used the largest three). The card is a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" card made from the darker ivory and then I alternated the cuts from light to dark. I edged all the pieces with Coffee Bean ink from Inkadinkado before layering them As a last touch I added a 3D Martha Stewart/E.K. Success Easter Lilt sticker to the center of the card.

Spring!

Even though Spring is undecided as to whether or not it should stay, I decided to make a couple of cards to celebrate it's arrival.

The first card is on the feminine side and uses recycled packaging paper for it's background from K&Company/E.K. Success stickers; which were edged with a Fiskar punch and then distressed with Ink It-up!brown ink. The 3D glittered flowers are also from K&Company/E.K. Success. The central lacy center medallion is a tag from Martha Stewart/E.K. Success and was left blank for future text possibilities.

The second card is on the masculine side (at least in colors) and like the first one also uses a piece recycled packaging paper for it's background from K&Company/E.K. Success stickers; which was overlaid with a K&Company/E.K. Success die-cut frame and wood toned background paper distressed with Ink It-up!brown ink. The 3D glittered flower and butterfly are also from K&Company/E.K. Success.

Easter 2012

This year I made a lot of simple elegant cards using  a cross or crucifix as the main theme for my Easter cards but then I couldn't resist to make at least one cute bunny card.

The collage card uses several different manufacturer's and types of stickers. The background frame is from Gartner. The flocked bunny, the 3D eggs on either side of him and the flocked duckling on his left are all from Jolee's Boutique/E.K. Success. The egg cracking duckling is from Recollections. The daffodils and grass are from Mrs. Grossman's. The 3D texted tag is from the Handmade seasonal stickers at Walmart.

Happy Easter from our family to yours!
